瑞雲寺について
About Zuiunji Temple
瑞雲寺は、淡路島を臨む瀬戸内海に面した魚住にあります。
731年に聖武天皇の勅願により行基が建立した、高野山真言宗のお寺です。
本堂は江戸時代に建立され、阪神大震災の後に庫裡と共に改修が行われました。
再建された庫裡には、持仏の間や書院造りの部屋があり、離れに茶室もあります。
御本尊である大日如来は数百年に亘り、この地域を見守り続けています。
Zuionji Temple is located in Uozumi, facing the Seto Inland Sea with a view of Awaji Island.
It is a Koyasan Shingon Buddhist temple, founded in 731 by Gyoki under the imperial decree of Emperor Shomu.
The main hall was built during the Edo period and was renovated along with the temple residence after the Great Hanshin Earthquake.
The reconstructed residence features a Buddha room and traditional shoin-style rooms, with a separate tea house nearby.
The principal deity, Dainichi Nyorai, has watched over this region for centuries.
真言宗の教え
The Teachings of Shingon Buddhism
真言宗は、弘法大師空海が平安時代に大成した真言密教の教えを教義としています。
真言密教では、仏の真実の言葉である「真言」を通じて、
この宇宙における様々な事象の本当の意味を知ることができるとされています。
Shingon Buddhism is based on the teachings ofShingon Esoteric
Buddhism, which was established by Kobo Daishi Kukai during the Heian period.
In Shingon Esoteric Buddhism, it is believed that through
“mantras,” the true words of the Buddha, one can understand the deeper meaning of
various phenomena in the universe.
葬儀・法要
Funeral & Memorial Service
通夜は、亡くなられた方が人として過ごす最後の夜に、
ご家族や親しかった友人が集まって故人を偲び行われる行事です。
通夜の翌日に行われる葬儀では、真言宗の作法に則り引導作法を行い、
故人が仏の世界に旅立つお手伝いを致します。
The wake is a ceremony held on the final night the deceased spends as a person,
where family members and close friends gather to honor their memory.
On the following day, the funeral is conducted according to the rituals of Shingon Buddhism,
including the Indo Ceremony (Guiding Ritual for the Departed),
to help the deceased prepare for their journey to the world of the Buddha.

A gravesite is a place where one can feel a deep connection
with their loved ones. At our temple, we carefully maintain the graves so that visitors can pay their respects with peace of mind.
In addition to traditional family graves passed down through generations,
we also offer consultations for perpetual memorial services for those
who may not have successors or are concerned about grave maintenance.
